Have PP stickers printed individually

pp-aufkleber_1.jpg

PP stickers are the first choice when you need dimensionally stable, durable labelling for rigid or only slightly deformable packaging. The labels made of polypropylene film are waterproof, scratch-resistant and resistant to many chemicals, oils and fats. PP labels remain legible even with frequent handling and cleaning, making them ideal for applications in industry, trade and logistics.

At Labelprint24, you can purchase PP film labels on rolls, which you can customise to suit your specific application using the online calculator.

PE vs PP vs PVC – which label material is right for your application?

All three materials are plastics and are among the most important options for film-based labels. However, they differ significantly in terms of performance and typical application:

  • PE stickers: highly flexible and designed to conform to squeeze bottles, pouches and other deformable packaging.
  • PP stickers: a stable plastic material with a hard surface, ideal when the label needs to remain flat and dimensionally stable – for example on bottles, cans, buckets or cardboard packaging.
  • PVC stickers: particularly tough and durable, designed for extreme requirements and permanent labelling in indoor and outdoor applications.

This makes PP labels the all-round solution for rigid containers: significantly more robust than paper, more dimensionally stable than PE and, in many cases, more cost-effective than PVC.

Typical applications for PP stickers

PP stickers are used wherever labels need to last, remain clearly legible and withstand regular handling:

  • Labelling for bottles, cans, buckets, canisters and other rigid containers
  • Labels for cleaning and care products, chemical-technical products or auxiliary materials
  • Product and information labels on plastic or metal packaging
  • Warehouse, logistics and shipping labels with barcodes, QR codes or serial numbers
  • Labelling in workshops, production areas or laboratories where paper labels would wear too quickly

Thanks to their resistance to moisture, abrasion and many substances, PP film labels are a durable alternative to conventional paper labels.

Material options for PP stickers

Our PP stickers are available in several film and adhesive options. This allows you to combine appearance, adhesive strength and temperature suitability exactly as your product requires.

PP film, white, gloss – permanent adhesive

White gloss PP film with permanent adhesive is the standard solution for many applications. It is suitable for classic product and information labels on bottles, cans, jars, buckets or cardboard packaging. Thanks to the smooth surface, coloured prints, pictograms and barcodes appear particularly clear – even in smaller font sizes.

PP film, white, gloss – removable adhesive

This option offers a high-quality gloss appearance, while still being removable after use. It is ideal for temporary labelling, such as campaign or promotional labels, seasonal information, price labels or information stickers that need to be removed without leaving residue after a promotion. The adhesive provides reliable adhesion, while generally protecting the substrate when the label is removed.

PP film, white, matt – permanent adhesive

White matt PP film has a particularly subtle and premium appearance. It is often chosen when readability and a refined look are key, for example for cosmetics and personal care products, pharmaceutical products or high-quality household goods. The matt surface reduces reflections and creates a calm, clear presentation of text and graphics.

PP film, white, matt – removable adhesive

With this combination, you get a subtle matt appearance while still being able to remove the stickers after use. It is ideal for temporary labelling with a premium feel, for example for limited-time campaigns, sample and test batches, or high-quality packaging that needs to be reused after a promotion without adhesive residue.

PP film, white, gloss – permanent adhesive, freezer-grade

This option has been designed for chilled and frozen applications. The adhesive is formulated to provide reliable adhesion even at low temperatures, for example on bottles, cups, cans or trays used in refrigerated displays or freezer storage. It is suitable, among other things, for chilled or frozen food products and for logistics labelling within the cold chain.

PP film, transparent, gloss – permanent adhesive, 0.05 mm

Transparent gloss PP film creates a so-called no-label look: only the printed design is visible, while the substrate shows through. This creates a particularly premium appearance on clear or decorated packaging, for example on drinks bottles, glass containers or finished cans. These PP stickers are suitable when the packaging design or product contents should remain deliberately visible.

PP film, silver – permanent adhesive

Silver PP film gives labels a metallic-looking surface. It is used, among other things, for type plates, technical markings, asset labels or decorative product labels. Logos and text gain a particularly high-quality effect through the metallic finish, while barcodes, data fields and variable information can still be integrated effectively.

Shared properties of all PP materials

The following applies to all PP sticker materials listed above:

  • Waterproof and suitable for use in dry and damp environments
  • Designed for rigid or semi-rigid containers, as well as cylindrical containers
  • Suitable for low and elevated temperatures, depending on the material
  • Thermal transfer printable; suitable thermal transfer ribbons are available in the online shop.

Calculate PP stickers online – from selection to order

In the online calculator, you configure your PP stickers step by step. First, define the required quantity and the number of versions. Then select the appropriate material option and adhesive. Next, specify the label format and winding direction. You can either choose from standard formats or enter your own custom size with individual dimensions. The corner radius can also be adjusted flexibly: starting from 2 mm, you can select a radius between 0 and 10 mm to suit your design. In the next step, choose the colour configuration – from 1-colour black to 4-colour Euroscale. If required, spot colours or customer-supplied materials can also be used. Under the coating tab, you decide whether your stickers should be finished with UV protective varnish or a protective laminate in a matt or gloss finish. If you would like to enhance your labels with hot foil stamping, you can choose from gold, silver, copper, green, blue, red or rainbow options. Tactile warning triangles can also be added if required. The configuration is completed by options such as the extra professional print file check, a barcode check for POS systems and ensuring that your labels are suitable for subsequent thermal transfer printing.

You can then upload your own print file or design the PP stickers directly in the online designer. Production is carried out within short delivery times, depending on the product and configuration. If you have any technical questions about materials, adhesion or print files, our service team will be happy to assist you personally.

FAQ about PP stickers

What is the difference between PP stickers and paper labels?

PP stickers are based on a plastic film rather than paper. This makes them significantly more resistant to moisture, abrasion and many cleaning agents or chemicals. They do not tear as easily, fade more slowly and remain clearly legible even with longer-term use. Paper labels, by contrast, are more suitable for dry environments with lower levels of stress. If your labelling needs to remain durable and stable over time, PP film labels offer a significantly longer service life.

Are PP stickers suitable for food packaging?

Polypropylene is widely used in the packaging industry and, depending on the film, adhesive and overall construction, may also be suitable for food applications. Whether a specific PP label material is suitable for your product depends on the applicable legal requirements and the components used. For projects involving direct or indirect food contact, we recommend discussing the details with our sales team to ensure that the material and adhesive are exactly matched to your application.

What temperatures can PP stickers withstand?

The usable temperature range of PP stickers is determined by the combination of film and adhesive. Standard materials generally cover typical storage and processing temperatures, as well as elevated temperatures of up to around +80 °C. Special options, such as freezer-grade adhesives, are also designed for low-temperature applications. If your application is permanently exposed to very low or high temperatures, we recommend discussing the details with our team.

Which adhesive options are available for PP stickers?

Labelprint24 offers various adhesive systems for PP stickers: permanent adhesives for a strong, long-lasting bond, removable adhesives for temporary applications, and special adhesives for chilled and frozen applications. The best option depends on the substrate, temperature, duration of use and any cleaning processes. You can select the adhesive directly in the configurator – and for more demanding projects, we will be happy to support you in choosing the right solution.
