Pack responsibly.
Make a sustainable impression.

Sustainable and recyclable labels and packaging have become an essential part of a brand’s image. We support you and your business with professional packaging solutions that conserve resources while also impressing with design and reliability.

Recyclable materials

The materials used are crucial to the sustainability of your packaging – at Labelprint24 you will find environmentally friendly paper and film materials.

Optimised production

Innovative manufacturing processes for sustainable packaging – with made-to-measure production, exact quantities, optimised logistics and climate-neutral shipping.

Modern energy concept

We rely on solar power, heat recovery and a heating system with a gas boiler, buffer tank and air-source heat pumps – for reduced energy consumption.

Regional production

Production in Saxony promotes cooperation with regional tradespeople and businesses, strengthens local structures and shortens transport routes and commuting distances.

Our measures for the future

We have refurbished vacant industrial buildings instead of building new ones, run large parts of our production with solar power from our factory roof and develop packaging solutions that combine environmental responsibility, legal requirements and product protection. These are measures that will have a positive long-term impact – for our customers and the environment.

Modern technology

When investing in new printing and manufacturing machines, we pay attention to high energy efficiency, electricity and compressed air consumption, and overall quality in terms of wear, repairs and spare parts.

Energy-efficient building refurbishment

When choosing new locations for Labelprint24, we give vacant building complexes a new purpose as modern production sites – with a sustainable energy concept in line with current KfW standards.

750 kVA solar power

The solar installation covers an area of almost 7,000 m² and supplies the majority of our annual electricity consumption – on sunny days, we even feed a 50% surplus into the public grid.

70% Tool-free jobs

Laser die-cutting enables tool-free production without conventional cutting dies – saving energy and material.

LED lighting

LED lighting consumes significantly less energy, lasts extremely long, contains no harmful substances and therefore noticeably reduces both resource consumption and emissions.

Charging stations for electric cars

We support our employees’ switch to electric mobility with three charging stations at Plant 2. In future, we will continue to expand the charging options and further electrify our vehicle fleet.

“We are constantly working on optimising our internal processes. With our self-developed nesting software for cartons, we calculate the most cost-effective production method with the least waste on the press sheet for every quotation. In label printing, we use grouped jobs to maximise utilisation of the print web, which results in less waste.”

The bee project

Bee colonies with 30,000–40,000 bees each live on our company premises at Plant 2. In cooperation with the Riesa Beekeeping Association, trained Labelprint24 employees look after the hives and harvest the honey.

“For more than a year, we immersed ourselves in the subject of bees, their way of life and the basics of beekeeping. This also included learning how to handle the equipment properly, such as bee suits, hive tools, smokers (for gently calming the bees) and everything needed for hive care and later for harvesting honey. A special highlight was our first own honey – naturally with an in-house label from Labelprint24.”

Recycelbare Materialien im Überblick

As a manufacturer of labels and packaging, it is important to us to offer materials that can be returned to the material cycle after use. Our range includes materials that are recyclable and in some cases made from recycled content. Many of our label and carton materials, such as recycled paper, grass board, natural board and corrugated board, contain a high proportion of recovered paper fibres. Our film materials are recyclable as mono-material variants and, in the area of labels, can also be matched to the raw material of the packaging – such as PET bottles – for single-material recycling.

“In recent years, not only production regulations and standards have evolved, but customer requirements have as well. This applies above all to the materials used, such as mono-materials, recycled materials and alternative raw materials. Other important aspects of sustainability for us are regional suppliers, short delivery routes and demand-oriented digital production with exact batch sizes.”

From DIY store to sustainable production facility

By converting a former DIY store located in the immediate vicinity of our headquarters, we have created a modern production facility that is also an investment in ever more sustainable and greener manufacturing. To make production as environmentally friendly and climate-conscious as possible, we installed, among other things, a photovoltaic system for power generation and a hybrid heating system with liquefied gas and air-source heat pumps. Heat recovery from the large printing presses and compressed-air generation additionally reduces energy consumption in production.
