A hinged lid box is a rectangular folding box which has a large lid opening. Labelprint24 offers you cardboard boxes for quick and easy assembly. The FEFCO 0885 hinged-lid box is particularly well suited as shipping packaging, as it can be resealed thanks to the adhesive strips that are present. The adhesive strips also make it easier for your customers to return the boxes. We use high-quality corrugated cardboard for our boxes, which is particularly hard-wearing and recyclable. Your products are optimally packaged and remain protected from external environmental influences.

Materials and finishes

Our hinged-lid boxes are made of corrugated cardboard. is a very ecological and economical packaging material. With a share of 80 % recovered paper and the almost complete recycling of used packaging into the material cycle, it is particularly sustainable. Corrugated board consists of corrugated paper webs glued between two smooth paper webs, which gives it its enormous stability and resilience. With us, you have the option of designing your hinged lid box individually according to your wishes - whether dimensions, material or finishing.

E-flute boxes

The E-flute has an extremely filigree structure and is therefore also called ultra-fine or micro-flute. In the product configurator you can also decide whether the corrugated board should be white or brown on the inside and outside. This type of corrugated board is particularly suitable for printing. You can have your logo or motif printed on the corrugated cardboard packaging without any problems. The E flute has a flute pitch of 2.6 to 3.5 mm and a flute height of 1.5 mm. We recommend this type of flute for shipping boxes with lighter goods. It is the thinnest type of corrugation at Labelprint24, but can still be loaded with up to 10 kg.

B-flute: thikckness and capacity

B-flute cartons

The B flute is twice as thick as the E flute, it is called fine flute, has a smooth surface and is also easy to print on. We recommend this type of flute for product and shipping packaging, as it has a maximum load capacity of around 20 kg. Here, too, you can decide in the product configurator whether the corrugated cardboard packaging should be brown or white on the inside and outside. It has a flute pitch of 4.8 to 6.5 mm and a flute height of 3 mm. The B flute is convincing both in the shop and in shipping. 

EB-flute cartons

The more layers of corrugated and smooth paper webs are glued on top of each other, the more stable the corrugated board box becomes. At Labelprint24 we offer a combination of E- and B-flute, this creates a double flute corrugated board - the EB-flute. The EB flute is considered the most popular flute combination and is also called double flute. Both flutes (E and B flute) are glued together with a smooth intermediate web. The E-flute is used for this purpose as the outer flute, as it can be printed easily and your design is presented optimally as a result. With a carrying capacity of up to 30 kg, heavier goods and merchandise can also be transported.

The hinged lid boxes from Labelprint24 are universal and can be used as product packaging, outer packaging or simply as gift packaging - it is suitable for several applications. In addition, you can generate your personal packaging quickly and easily with our product configurator. Hinged lid boxes can be folded solidly and stably and do not require any additional adhesives. The advantage of FEFCO type 0885 is the tear-open flap and the adhesive strips. The customer can open the packaging with a simple hand movement - just pull the flap.

For a return, the hinged-lid box can then be securely resealed for transport with the second adhesive strip. Again, simply remove the film from the adhesive strip and press the adhesive side onto the front folding box side.

We offer the large letter box in the standard size 340 x 240 x 15 mm. If you would like to send a large letter box via Deutsche Post, you must comply with the specified sizes and maximum weight. For the large letter box, this is specified as follows:

  • Length: 10 to 35.3 cm
  • Width: 7 to 25 cm
  • Height: up to 2 cm
  • Maximum weight: 500 g

The large letter box can be used in almost every industry and is Deutsche Post's second largest letter format.

Maxiletter carton

Our maxiletter carton is available at Labelprint24 in two standard formats:

  • 280 x 200 x 40 mm
  • 340 x 240 x 45 mm

You can also use the box to send smaller goods with a low weight, for example, electrical items, documents, books, smartphones, glasses, etc. The Maxiletter box is larger and sturdier than an ordinary envelope, but still smaller than a folding box - making it the optimal shipping option for your important documents and smaller products.
