THE CHEMICAL LABELS FROM LABELPRINT24.COM

Short descriptive text

The special tasks of our chemical labels

Chemical labels are an indispensable commodity in the chemical industry. Without them, packaging may not even be brought onto the market. Labels are also very important in the industrial environment so that your employees always know which ingredients they are working with.

In addition, chemical labels are important carriers of warnings, safety instructions and other important information. Many of these details are even mandatory. Because when using chemicals, a high potential for danger can arise if the corresponding information is missing.

But now, to stand out from the competition, you should design your chemical products in an appealing way. An attractive presentation is important to retain customers and generate recognition. We at Labelprint24 offer you labels for the chemical industry in the highest quality. They stick even under extreme conditions and withstand industry-specific requirements.

They are abrasion and smudge resistant, acid and alkali resistant and convince with a high resistance. They are just as suitable for everyday use as they are for presenting your goods in sales. If you have any further questions, we at Labelprint24 will be happy to help.

What properties should chemical labels have?

Chemical products need warnings and safety instructions. Furthermore, they should still be designed in an appealing wayfor your customers. But the industry-specific requirements are more than demanding. Acid, lye or solvents can attack the label. This can lead to the label dissolving, the imprint being rubbed off or the adhesive not being able to fix the label permanently.

To prevent this from happening, special labelsare the perfect solution. They offer strong adhesive power that can withstand the most adverse conditions. This allows you to label your chemical products according to the specified requirements.

The labelling of chemical products is subject to strict legal standards and requirements. Symbols and warnings must be visible and permanently attached to ensure safe handling for customers and employees. If you process chemicals industrially, you must protect your employees.

Here, labels should have high-quality properties so that they are durable and the printed information remains permanently legible. At Labelprint24 we produce reliable chemical labels so you only have to choose one design.

Chemical labels should have the following characteristics:

  • waterproof
  • durable
  • resistant to acid, alkali and solvents
  • abrasion-resistant
  • permanently readable
  • resistant
  • UV-resistant
  • form stable
  • resistant to greases and oils
  • smudge-proof
  • very strong adhesive
  • heat- and cold resistant
  • according to the requirements of the GHS/CLP regulations

Which labels are used in the chemical industry?

Short descriptive text

GHS labels

Labelprint24 offers you GHS labels with all the symbols and texts used in the industry. You can select the warnings to suit your industry.

The GHS labels are printed as adhesive labels. Special adhesives and resistant materials ensure long-lasting use. These adhesive labels have a special adhesive on the back that allows the labels to be applied anywhere.

Roll labels

Labels on rolls are easy to use and quick to apply with the help of a label dispenser. Depending on your needs, the roll labelsare made of film or paper, so they have a short or long shelf life.

Depending on the adhesive, the roll labels can be applied to metal, plastic, paper, wood and other materials such as glass or stainless steel.

Sheet labels

Sheet labelshave the same properties as roll labels and can be used flexibly. They are applied to a backing paper and can be applied manually. The perfect solution when you need smaller quantities of labels.

Booklet labels

Booklet labelsare a type of mini brochure. These labels offer enough space for extensive text and are therefore perfect for instructions for use and dosage or multilingual instructions.

Whenever you have a lot to say about your product, you should use booklet labels. This saves extra outer packaging.

Duplex labels

The sandwich labels are available in two- to three-sided versions. The small leaflet is embedded in a carrier label. The duplex labels can be unfolded and offer space for various instructions.

Materials for chemical labels?

Chemical labels are exposed to ungewöhnlichen Situationen unusual situations. Alkali, acid and solvents can make them porous and vulnerable. The adhesive or the print peels off and soon the important label is no longer legible without problems.

To prevent this from happening to you, Labelprint24 offers labels with high-quality face material, extremely resistant and particularly durable printing and special pressure-sensitive adhesives. This ensures that your chemical labels are permanently legible and particularly durable at all times.

Dangerous goods labels or other important labels for the chemical industry should be permanently legible. Chemical labels are therefore often made of film and used, for example, by freight forwarders or shipping companies, but also in the normal retail trade. The following films are used for this purpose:

  • PVC film (Polyvinyl chloride film)
  • PP film (Polypropylene film)
  • PET film (Polyethylene terephthalate film)
  • PE films (Polyethylene film)

Film labels are not only resistant to cold, heat and chemicals, but also dirt-repellent and seawater-resistant. UV radiation and strong temperature fluctuations do not affect them either.

In addition to the customary special labels, we at Labelprint24 also offer hazardous goods labels. These are made of plastic (PVC) or aluminium composite. They are usually up to 2 mm thick and also extremely durable. Aluminium composite is even more durable, non-flammable and stable. This type of label is often found on means of transport and transport packaging.

If, on the other hand, you need temporary marking with labels, our paper labels for the chemical industry are the right choice. Label paper has a short shelf life and is UV-resistant. After some time, the imprints fade, so that the corresponding products can be re-labelled again and again. They can withstand temperatures from - 5 to 80 degrees Celsius. Paper labels are available in rolls and sheets.

For our labels for the chemical industry, we only use permanent and firmly adhering UV acrylic adhesives and dispersion adhesives with a very high adhesion. Neither liquids nor grease, oil, alkalis, solvents or acids can influence the properties of the adhesive so that the chemical labels cannot peel off under any circumstances.

Labels for chemistry: labelling is mandatory

In the chemical industry, labelling is mandatory for hazardous substances. Certain labels must also be present on products that are available in the retail trade. What must be labelled is regulated by law in the GHS/CLP regulations.

In order to ensure permanent labelling in various processes, the chemical labels should withstand particular special requirements. They should therefore hold securely on many surfaces (glass, metal, rubber, wood, paper and more). In addition, they must withstand friction, various liquids, chemicals, saltwater, grease and oils. Labels made of film have proven their worth. They can be used from - 40 to 120 degrees Celsius.

Adhering to GHS-compliant labelling is of great importance: In June 2015, a regulation came into force that adopted a globally valid classification method with uniform hazard pictograms and text. The hazards for humans and the environment should thus be minimised.

The following markings are required by law:

  • Name, address and telephone number of the supplier of the chemical product
  • Quantity of the hazardous substance in the packaging
  • Product identifiers
  • CLP/GHS hazard pictogram
  • Signal words (for low to severe hazards)
  • Hazard warnings
  • Safety instructions
  • Additional information

In addition, it is precisely specified how this information must be found on the product:

  • firmly glued or printed directly onto the packaging
  • horizontally readable
  • permanently legible (no abrasion, no smudging)
  • marked in the respective official language
